E-commerce giant Amazon announced an agreement with Boeing to receive 50 customized Boeing 767-300F cargo planes by the end of 2024, expanding its air cargo fleet to 150 aircraft. This move aims to further shorten the coverage of its "next-day delivery" service and reduce reliance on FedEx and UPS.
Amazon Air's vice president stated: "Building our own logistics network is a core strategy to enhance customer experience. We will invest $20 billion in upgrading global hubs over the next three years."
